Russian Twist

Purpose:

Improves stability, core strength, and posture  

Directions:  

  • Sit on the floor with knees bent and feet hovering off the ground 

  • Lean back slightly and engage your core  

  • Interlock fingers in front of chest or hold item 

  • Rotate your torso to one side, tap the floor with hand or object, and the switch to the other side 

Recommendations: 

  • Move slowly, remembering to breathe 

  • If needed keep heels on floor for more support  

  • Avoid hunching your back
