Standing Weight Shift/ 4-Point Weight Shift
Purpose:
To improve balance, increase lower-body strength, and enhance stability for walking.
Directions:
Stand with the feet hip-width apart. Shift weight entirely to the right leg, hold, and switch to the left. Then shift weight forward onto the front feet, then backward onto the back heels. Repeat as directed.
Recommendations:
Support the child for balance as needed.
Hold on to a stable surface as needed.
